We are sending two students from the Lighthouse Electric Cooperative service area to participate in the 2027 Government-in-Action Youth Tour!

Youth Tour has been a Texas Electric Cooperative tradition since 1965, when co-ops, inspired by then-Senator Lyndon B. Johnson, encouraged youths to visit Washington to see their American heritage and government in action, and to understand “what the flag stands for and represents.”

Now you have the opportunity to join the Youth Tour from June 15 to 23, 2027.

Entry is simple: download the application, fill it out, and email or mail it in using the information provided at the bottom of the form by Friday, February 20, 2027. Then be prepared to participate in an interview contest on Tuesday, February 24, 2027 at 7:00 p.m.
